Detailed Description

This API exposes the public contracts used by modules that implement concrete adapters for the stream port.

It provides the shared adapter-side vocabulary needed to:

• declare adapter descriptors,
• expose adapter installation hooks,
• exchange adapter environment/configuration data,
• identify adapters through public stream keys.
